As you wish. I personally prefer 4.0.2 that is a little bit faster; the only difference is regarding global search that is slower and less precise. If you want to install 4.0.2 you must remove (I mean uninstall) the 3.9 before.

Dummy file is a kind of file that you can simply ignore

I wrote a simple script that will check the master branch of this repo on Zanzibar82 git and if there is any update this script update the plugin too.

It works on OpeneElec, but If anyone help me, we can transform it on a real kodi addon and that would be very great

I really don't know python so I realized that on bash, basically the script
1. run after the system power on and check
2. check every 1 hour
3. send a notification to the system

If you want I can post here the istruction to install it.

Ok, I don't know if it works for you, on OpenElec I can enable the cron daemon, I don't know on your system if you can do it or how to enable cron. And one last think, maybe you have to edit some path file.

This's the file that you need

1. Copy the pelisalacarta-italian-channels file on /storage/pelisalacarta-italian-channels (if you change this path, you need to change the path on cronjob and on autostart.sh)
2. Copy autostart.sh on /storage/.config/autostart.sh
3. Add a cronjob
crontab -e
30 * * * * /bin/sh /storage/pelisalacarta-italian-channels
REMEMBER, IF YOU CHANGE THE PATH OF THE FILE YOU MUST TO CHANGE THE PATH ON THE CRONJOB TOO AND ALSO ON THE AUTORUN.SH FILE
4. Make executable the pelisalacarta-italian-channels file
chmod +x /storage/pelisalacarta-italian-channels
5. Reboot your system

Done

I updated pelisalacarta-italian-channels so that users can download the zip of the repo and flash it, so that there's no need to change the files each time - just install the zip and you're fine.
Servers on my repo are a merge of v4.0.2 and the ones fixed/edited here, so I guess we can say our italian version is an hybrid version between 3.9 and 4.0 and something else yet to come

Now I was thinking... Zarzibar's repo is optimaized to be installed in pelisalacarta 3.9, we can create a second repo (o organize an existing one) for pelisalacarta 4.0 (the folder tree in a little bit different).

per esperienza, per godere a meglio di questo forum, vi consiglio vivamente
di 1) scrivere in questo thread solo nel caso aveste un problema
in generale con qualche canale DA UTENTE, 2) di cercare il vostro problema
con la funzione di ricerca prima di scrivere qualcosa che forse è già stato detto,
3) di esprimere in questo thread le vostre idee e preferenze, 4) nel caso vi steste
cimentando nell sviluppo di qualche canale o patch, sarebbe l'ideale che prima
a) cercaste prima nel forum se la vostra idea fosse già in sviluppo
b) aprire un nuovo thread in inglese o spagnolo e in questo caso
linkare qui il thread aperto, una cosa tipo:

"sto sviluppando per blablafilm&serie.ita ma non
riesco ad estrarre i video, ho aperto un thread qui link_al_thread_in_questione.info"

in questo modo il vostro progetto avrà più ordine e visibilità agli occhi di chi
è interessato e capace di aiutarvi.

Tutto il lavoro che abbiamo fatto finora ha dato frutti "lavorando" in questo modo.

Quindi Chryses, ti invito ad aprire un thread per la tua intelligente soluzione,
che magari può diventare spunto per gli sviluppatori come Jesus che hanno parlato
di usare github per gli aggiornamenti dei canali.
