Server update function on 5.6.0

Hello!
Apparently in the latest version of SoD (5.6.0) the auto server update function has been removed or disabled. I didn't dug into the code – on GitHub the latest push has removed a lot of code and it is a bit hard to track without more information – but the button in the UI isn't there anymore and it does not appear to automatically run on boot. I've only tested it on a LibreElec installation, so it may works on other operating systems.
Is there something to do about this issue? Do you need any support to re-introduce that feature?
Side question: is this forum or GitHub the better place to discuss such issues?
